Job SummaryThe Asset Protection Auditor is a key member of the Best Buy team, responsible for conducting thorough audits to mitigate shrink, damage, and security exposure in our distribution centers. This role plays a critical part in supporting our safety program and safety committee, while also driving quality through inventory control.Key Responsibilities:

• Execute the weekly, monthly, and quarterly aspects of the Regional Distribution Center (RDC) Asset Protection Audit Program, including data entry, reporting, and scorecard updates to leadership.
• Provide support as needed for Asset Protection Officers and Production Process Preparation (3P) Security Guards regarding front desk and gate house operations.
• Conduct monthly building security inspections via the Security Walk, addressing and resolving identified problems.
• Validate specific functions where direct financial risk exists, such as inventory adjustments and cycle counts.
• Offer audit support where necessary.
• Execute the retail RDC truck salt program, providing subsequent data entry, reporting, and scorecard updates.
• Assist the RDC Asset Protection Manager in running the Asset Protection Department and Program.Basic Qualifications:
  • Able to stand, sit, or walk for long periods of time.Preferred Qualifications:
    • 2 years of security experience.
    • 2 years of auditing or inventory control experience.
    • Forklift certification.
