Job DescriptionPOSITION: Laborer DEPARTMENT: Operations REPORTS TO: Team Leader SUPERVISES: N/A FLSA STATUS: Non-exempt Responsibilities --- General labor on job locations --- Set up and dismantle work site --- Flag traffic --- Signal Operators when moving equipment --- Hand Digging (shoveling) entrance and exit pits along with locating existing utilities --- Comply with proper safety standards and expectations --- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned Requirements --- Able to perform physically demanding tasks --- Valid driver's license --- Class A license desired --- Able to perform safe work practices daily --- Able to lift, push, pull and carry at least 75 lbs. for a distance of 300 feet --- Able to work some nights and weekends --- Strong mechanical skills --- Ability to work outdoors --- Ability to read and write English --- Pass a drug screen and background check --- Knowledge of electrical utility work preferred --- Able to stand, kneel and work in confined spaces for an extended period of time Working Conditions This job operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, pushing, pulling, lifting, lifting in awkward positions, standing, and twisting.
